Windows to insight

The photography magazine Frames, in its monthly digital edition Digital Companion, has published an article about one of my recent works, which has been selected as the cover for the month of July. This project is one of the most introspective and self-explorative pieces I have created to date. The title of the article is "Windows to Insight". In it, a reflection is posed: Why do we take the photos we take when we go for a walk with the camera? What draws us to certain images so much that we want to capture them again and again?

When we take the time to observe these photographs, we engage in a true exercise of introspection. These images emerge from the subconscious and speak to us about our fears, traumas, fantasies, and more. Each photograph included in the article was initially taken without belonging to any specific project, but over time, they ended up forming a body of work now titled "Anatomy of the Unconscious". These images tell my personal story, from my childhood to the present day.

Seeing one of these photographs on the cover has been a pleasant surprise. Perhaps it is the most representative one, as what it symbolizes marked a turning point in my life, many years ago, without me being fully aware of it at the time.
